You may have noticed that when you install any app from PlayStore on your android phone, a shortcuts gets added to your home screen automatically. This is handy to locate the app by simply looking at the home screen. But if you don't want this shortcuts to get added automatically, you need to do some change in your play store setting.
To prevent this shortcuts, Open play store and go to settings by clicking on upper left side menu button.
Once you click on menu button you will see above window. Click on settings to go to modify settings. You will then see following window.
You will see the option called " Add icon to home screen". To prevent shortcuts you have to deselect this option. Once you uncheck this check box . No shortcuts will be added to your Home screen even after installing the apps. The only way to add the shortcuts to your home screen is by manually. If you wish to re enable this option follow the same procedure and check the check box.
