Have you ever wondered about the signal that our phone shows is actually how much in numeric value. We just see the dots that ranges from zero to five. This tutorial elaborates about how you can get the actual signal strength in number.
To get the numeric value of signal just follow the following simple steps :
1. Open the dial pad and dial *3001#12345#* and press calling button.
2. After this field test window will get opened.
This window will give you the signal strength in numeric value. You can see this value in upper left corner. But problem is that if you press home button the value gets disappear and get replaced by dots.
To see the value even after pressing the home button just press and hold the power button it will bring following screen
After this press and hold home button for near about 10 seconds and then release it. Now you will be able see the numeric value of signal strength at any time. In case of you want see the dots, then just tap on numeric value it will be replaced by dots, and the reverse is also possible that means if you want numeric value again then just tap on dots.. That's it you all set to know your signal strength.
Now the question is that how to know which value has the highest signal. As signal is in negative number, that means the higher the negative number->lower the signal and lower the negative number -> higher the signal.
